Pamela Sambu’s specialty consists of assisting customer care operations with understanding the product they are selling; they help answer customer queries and they also deal with the overall customer’s experience and whether their queries about the products are being answered and all their needs are being met. So, if you ever need to be informed about any new products or features on any MultiChoice product, Pamela and her team are the right people to ask. She has been in the customer care space for more than 15 years and, having garnered so much experience and durability she has managed to use all the lessons she has acquired and apply them on her work. Pamela takes pride in her work, and it has been evident in how she handles every process in customer care operation and the way she manages her team. Much of Pamela’s success comes from how she handles each situation she is faced with. She makes sure to plan everything accordingly and effectively and communicate all her plans to her team and her colleagues. She values a cohesive work environment that values the time and voices of others and has managed to practice that with her team. Being a leader was not something she was initially familiar with, and she had to learn it with every career leap she took and having had the privilege of being mentored by some great women from the MultiChoice Group, she knew her fate was in safe hands. She has always expressed how grateful she is for the opportunities the organization has afforded her and the fact that they saw her potential and capabilities to be a woman in leadership.
PAMELA
As an advocate for female empowerment, Pamela Sambu has also made it her mission to uplift many other women and help them climb the corporate leader as she has done so. Her goal is to see more women in the boardrooms and in big positions as her. She has always made sure to give some of her subordinates’ insight on what happens in order to equip them for the corporate space by taking them with her to board meetings with executives in order to help to help them understand how the business works, she has also mentored a few women in her team to prepare them for the corporate world. She has given countless women chance to dare to dream of a life outside of mediocrity and to spark up the sense of ambition needed to execute any goal they have in front of them. Having been raised in a household with strong black women, Pamela attributes most of her ambitious nature, her determination and willingness to succeed to her grandmother and mother, with having seen their strength and grace growing up. She took the lessons she learnt from her grandmother and mother and used them in her journey. Pamela has shown herself to be an ambitious visionary that sees a problem, analyzes it and then finds a solution that will help alleviates any of its damages and that has gotten her so far in her career. 40
